Be Haseen-O- Jamal this Eid with Sharara.

Every year I wait for this day and at last it is here again!! Eid- Ul – fitr.

When I can finally get rid of work and be free to spend time with my family and friends. What I love the most about this occasion is its innate festivity, those cultural vibes, amazingly delicious Muslim/Afghani cuisine and yes! How can I forget the showstopper dress of the day …?

Every girl wants to look glamorous and elegant like no one else ever could.

Well, I have been thinking for quite some time about what to wear this year; and I obviously wanted the “glamorous as well as elegant” wish of mine to come true. After all, it’s EID!!

Finally I have zoned in on a few looks which I can go for. I’m still confused among finalizing one of them although most probably I’ll go with the evergreen Sharara.

Now, I know your first thought would be something along the lines of “Sharara is very traditional” or “It is too old-fashioned. Well yes, a Sharara is a traditional dress worn by the women in Asian countries, but few  classics are too good to be forgotten. Fashion too, is a never-ending cycle in itself. It comes and goes and comes back, albeit with a new version of it.

After a long time, the Sharara has made a grand comeback in fashion in the most fascinating way ever. The origin of this dress can be traced to Lucknow, India as this dress was quite common in the Nawab’s royalty; and being a Lucknowite how can I miss a beat on it?!

Now-a-days, this vintage yet sophisticated dress is infused with a well-bred touch, with a modern adaptation added to it, which recreates the aura of the Mughal period with a contemporary style.

Since there are evolutionary changes in fashion, if you don’t want to wear the typical Sharara, you can team it up with embroidered jackets, off-shoulder tops, crop tops, slit kurtas and a simple piece of jewelry. It is very adaptable and can help you glam up instantly.

Here is a list of the top 10 of the most trending Mix-n-Match ensemble for every Fashionista who never misses a beat. Do share your thoughts about which one did you love the most!!

#Look 1 :

My most favorite ensemble of all.

The net mesh kurta, unlike a basic kurta, with gathered bell sleeves with a robe or a jacket style look. The most amazing part of this look is the bottom – much modified version of Sharara .A ruffled tape on the Sharara without much flare which gives a very smart look to the complete ensemble.

Style it up with kitten heels , a nice simple necklace with a pair of ear rings. And you are ready for the day .

#Look 2 :

Well, if you like to keep it trendy yet simple, then you will absolutely love this look.

A light pastel-shaded short kurta with a tint of Fashion element i.e. a little ruffled bell sleeve. And yes the Pleated Sharara pants give a very smart look to the complete attire.

you can team it up with a simple piece of jewelry with Block Heels with a light make up and  glam up instantly.

#Look 3 :

The look number 3 is perfect for all body types and shapes. This attire will give you a smart, trendy as well as an elegant look .

A short A-line lacy kurta with a hint of Zari work to make it an Occasion wear. It is perfect for those girls who do not want to carry exaggerated sleeves or heavy long garments.

Pair up this kurta with a smart box-pleated Sharara with a little detailing of pearl trims.

Pair this up with a simple bracelet (May be you can try Mia collection by Tanishq, very simple , smart and elegant ) , little pair of  ear rings and Kitten Heels.

#Look 4 :

A smart masterpiece is what it is!! I am sure all of you are going to love it.

How can I miss the beat on Embroidery, the biggest trend of the current times! Everyone is going gaga about embroidery today. Here it is!! The short embroidered kurta, with small detailing at hemlines and sleeves to give your dress a trendy look. To add-on more value or trendy element to the kurta, you can play with the sleeves. Go for a bell sleeve or a cold shoulder with tassels at sleeves and hemlines.

Pair it up with this amazing piece of bottom – “the High and Low Sharara” :* I am in love with this modified version of Sharara. The complete ensemble is a classic , I must say !!

As it High and low bottom go for Ankle Strap heels for footwear and Danglers . Ready to go !!

#Look 5 : Go White .

White closet and Eid go hand in hand. Muslims love to wear white on Eid, and I am up for white anytime be it Eid or any other day. Here is a very urban chic and classy look with a white ensemble.

A short waist length peplum laced kurta, giving a very urban and soft look to the attire with smart slim fit Sharara pants, which look more or less like kick flare pants. Go for a kurta with a little lace and pearl detailing to make it more attractive.

Try a pair of white Block Heels , a pearl ring and pair of pearl white ear ring . Here it ishe ultimate  classy look .

#Look 6 :

This attire is for girls who want a very ethnic-esque simple and Indian girl-next-door look.

Go for a simple straight-fit cotton silk pastel kurta with a little detailing of “gota patti” at hemlines and neck line.

Pair it up with a heavy ruffled and layered Sharara with loud side tassels which is quite in vouge now-a-days.

You can style your ensemble with a simple lightweight dupatta bearing on it a gotta patti detailing and a Zari work Mojiri. And voila, you are ready for Eid!!

#look 7 :

In case you are newly married or there is some grand get-together at your place on the occasion of Eid, which is quite common, you will find this attire perfect for you.

A grand long floor sweeping High and Low Sharara with small detailing through pearls and ruffled lace or alternatively be made with cut work and embroidery.

Now as its bottom is so grand, I would suggest you to go for a simple top wear to pair with it. You can go for a short body-fit tunic. To make it trendy, go for a Halter neck or jewel neck kurta in case you are good with sleeveless. Otherwise, I would suggest keeping the sleeves simple by going for body hugging full sleeves.

Pair it up with a nice pair of High Heels and Jewel up with grand stone ring and stone studs .

#Look 8 :

Velvet . The huge upcoming trend!!

The look two for grand get together  you are going to attend.

A simple Flared Velvet Sharara with placement Zari work at the bottom of the Sharara will give a grand look to the complete attire. Team it up with a net mesh kurta; to make it trendy go for a Halter neck or jewel neck kurta. In case you are not inclined to a sleeveless attire, you can go for bell sleeves but make sure it is not exaggerated   .

Style yourself with black or golden beige pair of heels and a bracelet with a little makeup .

#Look 9 :

Be  a 70’s beauty .

Why not go for a crop top and smart Sharara pants? Go for high waist polka dots Sharara pants and pair it up with a crop top of any length you are comfy with. For the top, I would suggest to try giving some detailing to make it decent and trendy. For example, a turtleneck, or maybe play with sleeves like a bishop sleeve or cold shoulders.

Lastly to give the attire a decent look, style yourself with a long flowing dupatta .

#Look 10 :

This ensemble is apt if you want to keep it very simple, trendy and feminine. Try some pastel colors with lacy short kurtas. To give it a trendy look, you can play with sleeves or neck lines like cold shoulder, bell sleeves , bishop sleeves, and cape sleeves.

For bottom wear, try some variation of Sharara as you can see below from the latest Eid collection by Mubashir Usman. The pleated lacy Sharara pants or mesh patch work at Sharara pants with a knot gives a very feminine look to the complete ensemble. ❤

Kitten heels , A little light pinkish Make up and a cute pair of ear rings and you are done.
